An LV Switchboard (Low Tension Panel) is the central hub for electrical power distribution within any low-voltage network. Overvolt’s LV Switchboards are engineered to handle large incoming power and safely distribute it to various circuits across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure facilities. Our panels are built to withstand high current loads, frequent switching, and tough operational conditions with unmatched reliability and safety.

Functions of an LV Switchboard

The main function of an LV Switchboard is to distribute power efficiently from transformers, generators, or grid connections to the desired loads. It houses protective devices like MCCBs, MCBs, and relays, ensuring safe and controlled power flow. The copper/aluminum busbars inside provide robust conductivity while maintaining operational safety.

What’s New in Overvolt LV Switchboards

Every Overvolt LV Switchboard goes through a multi-stage surface preparation process including degreasing, phosphating, and powder coating for superior corrosion resistance. Internal busbars are designed with uniform cross-sections and high-grade copper/aluminum, supported by DMC/SMC insulators. We also offer options for intelligent metering, remote monitoring, and integrated circuit protection as per modern industrial demands.
